What makes a facial ‘holistic’?

During a holistic facial, all natural, organic, non-toxic products are used. They are more skin-friendly and less likely to cause irritation. A holistic facial is great for any skin type, but is especially great for more sensitive skin. Our skin absorbs a very large percentage of what we put on it, as the skin is our largest organ.

During the facial we focus a lot on the massage. Facial massage can improve circulation, stimulate the production of collagen, and help remove toxins. It can help keep your skin looking healthier and younger.  It is also great for easing headache pain, reducing overall stress, and relieving sinus and nasal congestion.

I focus a lot on using a gua sha stone for most of my clients. Gua Sha is applying pressure and “gliding” to the skin. It helps increase circulation, which in turn will bring more oxygen and blood flow to that region. It will also release ‘stuck’ impurities and toxins allowing them to enter the bloodstream and be released. It can also release muscle tension through this process.

Facial gua sha is one of the most effective forms of lymphatic drainage because it works on the head and neck, where more than 30% of your lymph nodes are located.

So you see, it is about so much more than just a pretty face. We believe our holistic facials bring you to a place of inner happiness and rest, too.
